🛡️#12 Fear RP/Valuing Your Life

At TrueNorth Roleplay, your character’s life is valuable and should be treated with realism. While bravery is encouraged, unrealistic or reckless actions are not allowed.

🔹 General Guidelines

  • Real-World Precautions: Treat your character as you would yourself in real life. For example, check both directions before crossing a street.

  • Guns Dictate Caution:

    • If someone draws a firearm and you are unarmed, surrender is the appropriate response.

    • If stationary in a vehicle and threatened with a gun, obey commands.

    • Driving away is acceptable only if your vehicle is already running; intentionally running over an aggressor is prohibited and considered VDM (Vehicle Deathmatch).

  • Avoid Recklessness:

    • Do not intentionally enter shootouts, crash vehicles, or jump from cliffs.

    • Being a “daredevil” is not a valid justification for unsafe behavior.

  • Situational Exceptions:

    • Certain organizations or scenarios may allow some leeway (e.g., escaping to protect assets).

    • Staff discretion determines whether exceptions apply.

⚖️ Confrontation Guidelines

  • Do not bait or force interactions with organizations or police.

  • During robberies or when held at gunpoint:

    • Prioritize safety by remaining compliant.

    • If asked to unlock your vehicle, you must comply.

✅ Summary

Always balance in-character bravery with genuine concern for your character’s safety. Unrealistic risk-taking or ignoring threats breaks immersion and may result in disciplinary action.
